The moment we've all been waiting and worked for is here.  After a long fight, "the monster of the St. Lawrence", your first musky - is laying in the bottom of the boat. Measurements are then taken, 51" long with a 26" girth.   40 lbs est. weight.  What a fish!   After many hand shakes and pats on the back from the crew of the Waterwolf along with fellow fisherman, the cameras begin to click.

  Now time for the decision...keep this magnificent trophy or release it to live and fight another day? After all, this musky is 15 to 20 years old, and is approaching the SUPER MUSKY CLASS. This fish could thrill another musky hunter in the future and fulfill a long time dream of landing a "MONSTER MUSKY OF THE ST. LAWRENCE"

The release of fish ensures a future supply of naturally reproduced Muskies as well as larger trophies for years to come! Since trophy Muskellunge can live 20 to 30 years old, it is to our benefit to release as many Muskies as possible.

To encourage this practice, anglers who release a Muskie 44" or longer during the fishing season (3rd saturday in June thru November 30) are eligible to receive a Muskie print.
